Start-Ups Focused on Collaboration, Sharing of Online Collective Wisdom Choose Bateman for Corporate, Product PR and Service Awareness
SAN FRANCISCO, June 26, 2007-The Bateman Group, an independent technology-focused public relations agency, today announced the addition of two new companies to its growing client roster. Effective immediately, Web 2.0 start-ups Baynote and Spotplex have selected The Bateman Group as their public relations agency of record. Web 2.0 is an informal grouping of technology companies defined by products and services that facilitate collaboration and sharing of collective wisdom among Internet users.

Baynote, Inc. – Named "Best of the Web" by Inc. Magazine in 2006, Cupertino, Calif.-based Baynote offers Content Guidance software that dynamically displays Product and Content Recommendations on business websites. Baynote’s primary investors include: Hummer Winblad Venture Partners of San Francisco, Steamboat Ventures of Los Angeles, the venture capital arm of The Walt Disney Company, and JK&B Capital of Chicago.
Spotplex, Inc. – Based in Santa Clara, Calif., Spotplex is an online content aggregation service that provides an instant, impartial ranking of stories using an algorithm-based measuring system that analyzes what people are reading in real time.
