BATEMAN GROUP CELEBRATES THE HOLIDAYS WITH THREE CLIENT WINS, NEW COMPANY BRAND AND WEBSITE
New Contracts Expand Client Roster Overseas
SAN FRANCISCO, Monday, Dec. 19, 2005—The Bateman Group, a technology-focused public relations firm, today announced three new additions to its growing roster of infrastructure and emerging technology clients. The Bateman Group has been selected as PR agency of record by Orthogon Systems, Enkata and Itemfield after successfully participating in three separate competitive agency reviews. The company also announced today the launch of the Bateman Group’s new brand and corporate website at www.bateman-group.com.
The Bateman Group’s ongoing responsibilities with the new clients will include corporate message development; industry analyst relations; business, trade and vertical market media relations; thought leadership campaigns; awards and speaking pursuits; and customer PR programs throughout North America. In addition, Orthogon Systems and Itemfield have retained the Bateman Group to oversee the same set of corporate communications and product awareness programs in the U.K. market as well.
New clients announced today include:
Orthogon Systems – Co-headquartered in Ashburton, England and Waltham, Mass., Orthogon Systems is a fast-growing provider of high-performance fixed wireless solutions for Non-Line-of-Sight and long-range Line-of-Sight network environments. Orthogon Systems is backed by Atlas Venture and The Carlyle Group.
Enkata – Headquartered in San Mateo, Calif., Enkata is a leading provider of Operational Performance Management solutions for businesses with large service organizations. Enkata’s investors include Apex Venture Partners, Sigma Partners and ComVentures.
Itemfield – Based in San Mateo, Calif., Itemfield is the leading provider of software for complex data transformation in high-performance, mission-critical applications. Financing for Itemfield has come from Accel Partners, Evergreen Partners, Foundation Capital and Gemini Israel Funds.
“We wanted a North American PR firm with two specific attributes – expertise in networking and wireless technologies and a proven methodology for helping companies like ours convey a more consistent and cohesive corporate image to the global marketplace,” said Ken DuBuque, vice president, Global Sales and Marketing at Orthogon Systems. “The search took us more than 6,000 miles from our U.K. headquarters to the Bateman Group in San Francisco, where every member of our team is a content expert.”
“The last quarter of 2005 has been an exciting time for the firm,” said Fred Bateman, founder and president, the Bateman Group. “With our work now expanding nationally and internationally from our roots in Silicon Valley, the time was right to re-brand the company. The new symbol evokes the interlocking nature of our client relationships, in which we strive to be considered highly valued, integrated members of their internal marketing teams, as opposed to a mere extension.”
