With 14 years of communications and brand marketing experience within the technology, entertainment, nonprofit and government sectors, Bill has managed high-profile product launches and thought leadership programs for both Fortune 500 companies and emerging start-ups. Bill's expertise spans digital media and entertainment, Web 2.0 technologies, enterprise software, and information security. Bill’s former clients include AOL, Netscape, Princeton Review, TIBCO and Creative Labs to name just a few. At the Bateman Group, he leads the teams supporting Panda Security, The Open Group, Baynote and Kapow Technologies. Bill’s award-winning campaigns have resulted in coverage for his clients in Newsweek, Time, BusinessWeek, Forbes, USA Today, San Jose Mercury News, and the Wall Street Journal.

Prior to joining the Bateman Group, Bill was vice president of business development for Zoup-ah!, an integrated entertainment and branding company, where he directed all marketing and licensing programs and led negotiations with U.S. broadcasters including Disney, Nickelodeon, Discovery Channel, and PBS. Before that, he worked as an account lead at Silicon Valley-based marketing and PR agencies A Good Seed Production, Blanc and Otus (a Hill & Knowlton Company) and Niehaus Ryan Wong. Prior to entering the corporate sector, he served as deputy AIDS policy advisor for San Francisco Mayor Willie L. Brown Jr. Before that appointment, Bill served as the director for a nationally known nonprofit, Health Initiatives for Youth, where he managed an innovative adolescent services program for high-risk youth.
