Rod is a Senior Associate with the Bateman Group and brings a strong background in social media and public relations through previous employment the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco. Prior to joining the Bateman Group, Rod drove public relations activities for the Consulate, where he coordinated events and outreach; managed an online publication; and wrote, edited, and translated speeches and correspondence for consular officers. His work garnered coverage for the Consulate in the San Francisco Chronicle and the Los Angeles Times, NBC News, ABC News, among many other outlets.
At the Bateman Group, Rod is a member of The Open Group, CoreMedia, Motista and Qualys account teams focusing on proactive editorial and blog outreach, issues tracking and response, awards pursuits and speaking engagements.
