Tara has 16 years of high-tech public relations and corporate communications experience, spanning a wide variety of technology sectors including messaging, networking, telecommunications and wireless technologies. In addition to her agency experience, Tara has worked directly for large multinational corporations and Silicon Valley start ups. At the Bateman Group, Tara develops communication strategies, positions companies and their products, and executes media and industry analyst relations programs for clients including ATC-Onlane, CITTIO, Motorola's Point-to-Point Wireless Solutions Group (formerly Orthogon Systems) and Aspect Software. Prior to joining the Bateman Group, Tara was director of corporate communications for Mirapoint, an Internet messaging start-up. Earlier in her career, Tara was director of public relations for Lucent Technologies' Octel Messaging Division, where she was responsible for increasing worldwide visibility of the company's service provider and enterprise messaging business. Tara started her career at Rourke & Company, a Boston-based high-tech public relations agency that was acquired by MS&L, where she was managed the firm's key accounts within its growing networking and telecommunications portfolio.
