Based in New York, Tyler specializes in aggressive media relations campaigns, regularly delivering exceptional results in the business, consumer, trade and blogger media. Through her work at the Bateman Group with clients such as Passenger, KickApps, Mojix and InQuira, Tyler has developed strong domain knowledge in multiple sectors, including Web 2.0 technologies, innovation tools, interactive marketing, semantic search, developer tools and RFID. She has launched several companies out of stealth mode, most recently with Mojix, an RFID startup using technology originally developed for NASA, for which she secured a feature with Don Clark at the Wall Street Journal. Passionate about media strategy and getting results for her clients, Tyler is best known for her long-lasting, reciprocal relationships with numerous members of the press community. She also maintains a roster of clients in the lifestyle, fashion and consumer services sectors, and has recently secured coverage with The Early Show, Wall Street Journal, Today Show and People Magazine.
Prior to joining the Bateman Group in 2003, Tyler was an analyst for Compass Point Partners, a hedge fund in San Francisco focused on fundamental research, where she covered healthcare, technology and specialty retail. She started her career in public relations FitzGerald Communications in San Francisco, driving media relations and corporate awareness programs for consumer technology products and services companies such as online privacy pioneer TRUSTe and Classroom Connect, an online education software provider, as well as biotech and pharmaceutical companies such as Corixa and Pharsight.
