Job Overview:

Ideal candidates will have a proven track record designing, directing and executing highly innovative digital and social media strategies for fast growth B2B tech brands (consumer experience a plus). This includes managing social channels + content, digital + influencer programs and extensive knowledge of the digital marketing landscape, tools, and techniques for measuring impact. You will be responsible for building Bateman Group’s social and digital marketing center of excellence and launching new products and services to our 50+ clients — from product development, marketing and pricing to consultative selling and program activation.

Here’s what you’ll be doing day-to-day:

  • Conceptualize, direct and execute social, influencer and digital marketing programs for fast growth technology brands (B2B experience required; consumer experience a plus)
  • Partner closely with Bateman Group’s media and Content teams to ensure campaigns are tightly integrated and aligned with our clients’ broader marketing and awareness KPIs
  • Serve as lead client counselor and relationship manager on all things social and digital
  • Develop a center of excellence to improve Bateman Group’s overall capacity to deliver high impact social and digital marketing programs across our entire portfolio
    • Advise account teams on research, strategy, creation, execution and measurement of content across Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Blogs and other emerging platforms
    • Lead internal training efforts for our entire team to help grow social media capabilities across Bateman Group
    • Evangelize our approach through thought leadership articles and public speaking
  • Measure client growth and impact across the full spectrum of social media channels including, but not limited to, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram
  • Use social listening tools to generate insight, fuel social conversation and inform campaign and content recommendations
  • Stay ahead of the curve on best practices and industry trends
  • Serve as lead social and digital strategist in new business presentations
  • Manage 1-2 direct reports initially, scaling up to 3-4 direct reports after year 1


Qualifications include:

  • 7-10 years of experience working at an innovative agency and/or fast growth technology brand (agency experience preferred)
  • 3-5 years’ direct management experience
  • Highly consultative with a strong ability to roll up your sleeves and execute as we scale up our social and digital marketing practice
  • Expert in social media and content marketing as an important awareness and lead generating element in the marketing mix (thought leadership a plus)
  • Experience running successful paid, owned and earned social campaigns
  • Strong PR and content marketing acumen capable of providing social input on PR and content campaigns
  • An empathetic leader capable of bringing the best out of people
  • A successful track record building, selling and activating high profile social and digital marketing programs
  • A versatile team player
  • Ability to travel to and from client/new business meetings as appropriate
  • Bachelor’s degree required
